Ferndale's Blues Festival Beginning January 27 Sponsored by Suburban Buick GMC

Ferndale's Blues Festival kicks off January 27, 2012 will you be attending?

Among the many sponsors is the newest member of The Suburban Collection, Suburban Buick GMC located at 21800 Woodward Avenue in Ferndale.

In it's 11th year it has expanded into other cities and has added rock, big band, and electronic music to its roster.

Officially called the Bud Light Ferndale Blues and Music Festival it will feature over 60 concerts and events in at least 24 venues over nine days.

Beyond Ferndale, events in Hazel Park and Royal Oak Township are included.

Festival co-chair, a Ferndale resident and Oakland County commissioner said, "We opened up the festival to all forms of music." He believes there will be "something for everybody this year" beyond just the blues.

Most concerts are free and take place at locations such as nightclubs, restaurants, bars and pubs, service clubs, libraries and community centers.

The annual music festival will raise money for local charities in Ferndale and Michigan.
